「奇遇之間 - Open Arms」首展亮相阿那亞arnaya

"Encounters Between Wonders - Open Arms" Premieres in Arnaya

In this special exhibition, Huang Yulong's two sculptures, "Between Encounters - Open Arms" and "Upward - UPWARD," engage with the audience, interact with the environment, and resonate with nature in different ways. Huang Yulong's sculpture "Between Encounters - Open Arms" made its debut at the Anaya Xiami Music Festival, opening its arms to the sky in an unnamed place, extending a silent yet powerful invitation. It is an important part of the 2025 Anaya Xiami Music Festival and the Wave Film Week, two major cultural events. In this cultural feast spanning music and film, sculptor Huang Yulong's two works, "Between Encounters - Open Arms" and "Upward - UPWARD," become thought-provoking visual focal points of the exhibition.

-The work "Between Encounters - Open Arms" on site. "Between Encounters - Open Arms" is a brand new work created by Huang Yulong specifically for this exhibition, and this is also the first time the work has been exhibited. This immersive sculpture placed on the beach uses the artist's signature faceless hooded figure as its base, but presents an unprecedented narrative posture. The sculpture's shoulders and above protrude from the sand, the head is slightly tilted back, and the place where the face should be is still deeply covered by the thick brim of the hood, which strengthens the symbolism of namelessness and commonality. The arms stretch out from the sand with great effort, open palms open to the sky, the knuckles are stretched but contain tension, as if they are about to grasp the light, grasp the wind, or a void yet warm embrace in the next second. - The artwork "Between Encounters - Open Arms" deeply intertwines with the beach cleanup campaign involving 200 waste sorting points and the recycling of 100,000 plastic bottles, transforming the art venue into a space for ecological reflection. The sculpture is no longer just for viewing, but for experiencing, feeling, and even for taking action—in the moment when viewers take photos, touch, or bend down to pick up plastic bottles, they complete a co-creation with the installation, making art a spiritual fulcrum to leverage public participation in environmental protection.

- "NONAME - The Nameless Land" is the first trendy art exhibition. As a visual response to the Xiami Music Festival's theme of "Life is an Adventure," it is also an independent cultural IP. The exhibition is hosted by Damai Entertainment and organized by Beijing Wanxin Wuxian Cultural Creativity Co., Ltd. It aims to build a deep dialogue between art and life and create an immersive trendy culture scene that transcends boundaries and is diverse and open.

#NONAME - The nameless place "UPWARD" and its on-site exhibitions are based on the core concept of "art is life," emphasizing the trendy concepts of "undefined aesthetics" and "self-curation," and working with the music festival to build Aranya's positioning as a youth cultural utopia. It brings together renowned artists, designers, and trendy toy studios from home and abroad, showcasing the diverse creative power of this era through collectible original works, large-scale installations, and immersive scenes.

#NONAME - The "UPWARD" series of sculptures, also on display at the "Upward" exhibition, is the fourth stop on the tour of this work. It has previously been exhibited in Chengdu, Hong Kong, and Hangzhou, generating a surge of interest and profound resonance in each city. Huang Yulong's "UPWARD" series centers on a hooded figure with an obscured face. The sculptures are made entirely of a matte material, shimmering with a soft yet resolute radiance under the light. The figures wear loose hoodies, their heads completely obscured by the pulled-down brim. The absence of the face does not diminish its expressiveness; instead, it imbues the form with a profound metaphorical quality. Whether gazing upwards, lost in thought, or with arms outstretched as if rising against the wind, the lines are fluid and dynamic, creating a strong visual rhythm between the real and the unreal, the hidden and the revealed. In the exhibition at Aranya, the sculpture groups are arranged in a staggered manner, echoing each other, like a silent ensemble, forming a stunning visual matrix in the art space. They are integrated into the environment, yet also subtly confront it, as if creating a spiritual enclave in the midst of noise.

#NONAME - Nameless Place "UPWARD" Nighttime Performance "UPWARD" is both a sculpture and a silent philosophical invitation. Beneath the veil lies a faceless commonality, a pure existence stripped of labels, symbolizing belonging and identity in youth culture, and subtly echoing the profound wisdom of "no self is all phenomena" in Eastern philosophy. From Chengdu to Aranya: a spiritual journey across cities, "UPWARD" and the new work "Between Encounters - Open Arms" are exhibited together, completing a contextual shift from city to seaside, from music festival to art exhibition, further expanding the boundaries of the work's meaning.

#NONAME - Nameless Land Huang Yulong's works at the "NONAME - Nameless Land" exhibition achieved a multi-faceted sublimation of value. The works highly resonated with the exhibition theme, embodying the concept of "undefined aesthetics." The faceless hooded figures are both individual abstractions and collective symbols, allowing each viewer to project their own understanding and emotions. Transcending the traditional function of sculpture, they became a medium for sparking public reflection and participation. The deep integration of "Between Adventures - Open Arms" with environmental activism transformed art from an isolated object of aesthetic appreciation into a catalyst for social reflection and action. Simultaneously, Huang Yulong successfully elevated street culture symbols to the level of contemporary art, breaking down the boundaries between so-called "high art" and "popular culture," allowing his works to be carefully examined within the context of a museum and easily experienced in the atmosphere of a music festival. This cross-disciplinary flexibility is a crucial direction for the development of contemporary art. Ultimately, these sculptures became connections between people, between people and the environment, and between the present and the future. On the beach of Aranya, within the Red House Art Space, ascending upwards. The "NONAME - The Nameless Land" exhibition has ended, but the dialogue sparked by Huang Yulong's sculptures continues. "UPWARD" will continue its tour, while the initial exhibition of "Open Arms" is just the beginning. These faceless hooded figures will appear in more cities and more scenes, continuing their silent yet powerful voice. In the nameless land, with open arms, facing the sky and the sea—this is Huang Yulong's art's invitation to us, and a memorandum for this era.
