Childhood is not just the years that precede adulthood; it is another meaning of life, a world exclusively for children, a world that adults may not understand.


When children play together, there will always be a leader, and the other children will obey his commands and follow his rules. Such a child is like the alpha sheep in a flock of sheep or the alpha wolf in a pack of wolves; he is the "king of the kids" among a group of children.

A leader among children isn't necessarily like the Monkey King, surrounded by admirers on Flower Fruit Mountain. Often, he's quiet, preferring to find a corner, sit down, and observe silently, understanding the wisdom of "standing on the sidelines." He enjoys solitude, yet is never truly alone.
