The God Father

When someone accustomed to rebellion and freedom suddenly becomes the father of a new life.

That kind of joy and elation, that kind of helplessness, is both exciting and maddening.

As I watch my daughter grow up, I also grow. Her growth has enriched my creative process. From adhering to self-awareness to reflecting on tradition, I have become increasingly confident in my creations. Children's sweatshirt figures have emerged.

"The God Father" is one of my earlier sculptures. The way this father and son communicate is unique and typical, stemming from my observation of a busy and overwhelmed father in real life, showing the only care he could give to his child.


You don't want to be a copy of your parents, but that kind of inheritance isn't just flowing in your blood; it's ingrained in your personality and influences your behavior.
