During the Korean Art Festival, artist Hwang Ok-ryong was invited to present "THE MOON PARTY - UPWARD TO THE MOON" at the K11 Art Foundation. Through his signature "hoodie man" sculpture series, the exhibition constructed an immersive art space that celebrated the optimistic spirit, youthful vitality, and hope for the future under the same sky.
Two 3-meter-tall "UPWARD" sculptures have sparked reflection on youth culture and hip-hop culture. Through the artistic treatment of leaving blank space inside the hoodie, they convey an attitude of inclusivity and acceptance, and promote a positive dialogue about the complexities of urban life.
In this grand art event, Huang Yulong's new work "HUSH 1" made its first prominent appearance. This piece continues Huang Yulong's signature fusion of street aesthetics and Eastern philosophy.
"HUSH 1" creates a clever contrast with its highly dynamic form, injecting a profound sense of silence into the noisy party and sparking endless imagination among the audience about the debate between movement and stillness, and between inside and outside.
