以傳統宗教「四大天王」為基調,重塑街頭文化新信仰

Based on the traditional religious icon of the "Four Heavenly Kings," this project aims to reshape a new faith within street culture.

I have long been interested in the development characteristics of Chinese street culture, and my works have always been based on the creative use of traditional cultural elements.
The work "The Four Heavenly Kings" is also called "East, West, South, North" or "Good Weather for Crops".

I continued the style of the hoodie series, transforming the four guardian deities from the religious theme into four elements of contemporary street culture, filling the inside of the hoodie hood with four different colors.
These four colors also come from the original colors of the Four Guardian Deities. By borrowing from religious stories, they activate responses to real life and historical memory, forming a cross-temporal dialogue between tradition and modernity. I think this creative technique of cultural metaphor should have started from my study experience in Jingdezhen.

▍Born with the essence of a king, inspired by the traditional Four Heavenly Kings, aiming to recreate the spirit, energy, and vitality of the religious soul.

▍Dare to subvert the norm, continuing the dynamic lines of the Hoodie Man series, and injecting the original four guardian colors into the "blood" of Hoodie Man, creating a strong visual impact.
