Snowflakes and guns

My series of works, "XUE", is a collection of miniature snowflake shapes created by recombining and collaging various real gun shapes.

Each crystal-clear snowflake appears so pure and peaceful, evoking feelings of auspiciousness and joy; but when you magnify every detail of the snowflake, the sight of crystal guns exuding a cold and cruel aura instantly awakens you! Violence and war are not far from us…

Snowflakes – auspicious symbols of good wishes; guns – terror, despair…

Snowflakes – a natural substance that melts upon landing; guns – war, death…

The snowflake design and the gun element express my hope for world peace. I feel sorry for the countless people struggling in violent wars.

I hope to use this visual confrontation to convey love and peace, to freeze weapons in the ice and melt war.


I hope that more people will reflect on the meaning of life and cherish a peaceful life through the powerful visual impact of the "XUE" series.

May the war end soon.
