EXISTENCE

A sculptural meditation on existence, silence, and the human condition.

EXISTENCE explores how human beings exist between heaven and earth. The hoodie-clad figure stands quietly, with its head slightly lowered and its face hidden in shadow, creating a powerful sense of silence, contemplation, and inner awareness.

The work presents a ritual of “existence”: standing without words, observing one’s own shadow, and sensing the relationship between the body, nature, light, and darkness. The figure’s posture also resembles the Chinese character “人” — human — as if the body itself becomes a living stroke of calligraphy and a philosophical expression of life and selfhood.

Presented in ash-white resin, the sculpture carries a calm and solemn visual presence. The faceless figure weakens individual identity, allowing viewers to focus more deeply on self-awareness, presence, and the connection between human beings and the world.
